The summer splits keep on comin'.
Hilary Swank's rep confirmed to E! news Monday that her engagement to Ruben Torres has been called off; no comment or further details were provided. Showing no signs of strife, the two-time Oscar-winning actress was photographed without her diamond ring as she watched the 2016 French Open Saturday.
It would have been the second marriage for Swank, who was married to actor Chad Lowe for 10 years until 2007. She and Torres, a former professional tennis player, were first romantically linked in July 2015. The couple made their red carpet debut as a couple five months later while attending DuJour's kick-off party for Art Basel in Miami.
Torres popped the question in March during a trip to Palm Springs. Swank has since deleted her engagement announcement from Instagram and Twitter. At the time, the actress, 41, wrote, "Went on a hike and this happened! I am so happy to announce the engagement to my dear Ruben."
Swank isn't alone. Heartbreak in Hollywood abounds, as several other celebrity couples—including Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama; Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris; Amber Heard and Johnny Depp; and Kylie Jenner and Tyga—have called it quits within the last month alone.
