NBCLarry David reprised his role as Bernie Sanders and even got to act alongside the Democratic presidential candidate while hosting NBC's Saturday Night Live.
And it was pretty, pretty, pretty good.
The actor, a former SNL writer, also parodied his hit HBO comedy series, Curb Your Enthusiasm, while playing, yep, Sanders. The show has been on hiatus since 2011.
David, 68, had first parodied Sanders on SNL last October.
Also during Saturday's episode, the band The 1975 performed its tracks "The Sound" and "Love Me."
In a skit titled "Bern Your Enthusiasm," David played a hybrid of Sanders and his Curb Your Enthusiasm character, an extra misanthropic version of himself, while attending a rally held in honor of the 74-year-old politician.
In true Larry David fashion, the actor becomes visibly disgusted when cast member Leslie Jones reaches out to shake his hand after coughing into hers and stirs a lot of drama. He also expresses reluctance to help a female car crash survivor.
Sanders himself made a cameo in a sketch titled "Steam Ship," in which he and David play men on a large, sinking ship, where just like on the Titanic, women and children are permitted to get into the lifeboats first. Naturally, the actor thinks this is pretty, pretty, pretty stupid and tries to get special treatment, while Sanders shows up to deliver a political message.
