Ellen DeGeneres, Judge Judy, Wendy Williams and More Rack Up Daytime Emmy Award Nominations

Cast and crew of General Hospital leads the competition and could win up to 28 trophies

Calling all daytime TV lovers! Your favorite talk show and soap stars are getting praised for their work on the small screen.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Tuesday afternoon on The Talk.

As one can expect, some very familiar faces received some much-deserved recognition less than a month before the ceremony airs live on the POP Network.

ABC's General Hospital led the field with an impressive 28 nominations. They will face off against The Young and The Restless, The Bold & The Beautiful and Days Of Our Lives for Outstanding Drama Series. 

No stranger to being nominated, Ellen DeGeneres and her daily program were nominated for an impressive 10 awards including Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment. They will go up against The Talk, The Wendy Williams Show and Live! With Kelly and Michael.  

Dr. Mehmet Oz, Steve Harvey, and the co-hosts of The Chew will compete for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host while Wendy Williams, the ladies of The Talk and Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan received Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host nominations.

For legal and court shows, the nominees include Judge Judy, Divorce Court and People's Court. Other famous faces who could walk away with awards in various categories include Bobby Flay, Martha Stewart, Megan Mullally and Pat Sajak.
