Offset is recovering after a harrowing injury.
The Migos rapper is “fine" and "currently at the hospital receiving medical care" after he was shot outside of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., on April 6, his rep confirmed to E! News.
The spokesperson also said that Offset—dad to kids Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 19 months, with ex Cardi B, as well as three other kids from previous relationships—is “stable and being closely monitored.”
The shooting occurred at the valet area around 7 p.m. local time, a spokesperson for the Seminole County Police told TMZ, adding that a victim had suffered “non-life threatening injuries.”
Authorities said two arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
"Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly,” the police spokesperson continued. “The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal."
The shooting comes three years after Offset’s Migos bandmate Takeoff was killed as a result of gun violence. In 2022, the 28-year-old was fatally shot outside of a Houston club after attending a party with fellow Migos member and uncle Quavo.
Since then, Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) has detailed the difficulty in expressing his grief over the tragedy.
"It's hard for me to talk about s--t right now. I've never talked about this stuff. Seriously," he told Variety in 2023. "Talking about Take is hard, man. Talking about all this s--t is hard. That's why I don't, to be honest. That s--t hurts. Like, it’s gonna put me in a mood, and I don't want to get in that mood."
The 34-year-old continued, "Some things I don't ever tell nobody. He's not here. That s--t feels fake, bro. I get through my day thinking it's fake. And I don't say nothing to nobody about it."
