What's a girl to do?

Christina Applegate and Mila Kunis were had to make some tough decisions on The Late Late Show Monday. James Corden invited the Bad Moms actresses to play "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts," a game in which they chose to either answer an uncomfortable question or eat an unusual food of another player's choosing. Menu items included ghost pepper hot sauce, cow tongue, sardines, pickle juice, soy sauce and mayonnaise, grasshoppers, calf's brain and clam juice. Before the game began, Applegate said, "I'm a vegetarian. I don't mind people with meats out, but I'm like literally holding my throw-up a little bit. I have a seriously sensitive gag reflex."

Corden had Kunis go first. "Oh, wow! That's real clam juice," she said after sniffing the cup.

"What did you think it was?" Corden asked.

"Colored water," Kunis replied.

Then Corden read the question from his card: "Ashton Kutcher: carrot stick or beer can?" Kunis laughed as she debated whether to publicly comment on her husband's penis. "Oh, my God. What do I do?" she asked. Corden said, "You can either tell us or you can drink the clam juice."

"Just answer the question," Applegate whispered. "Just answer the question."

"I have to have one or the other?" Kunis asked, to which Applegate replied, "Oh, Mila!"

Kunis chose carrot stick. "Carrot stick?" Corden asked, raising an eyebrow.

"But beer cans are short," Kunis explained.

"No, not a big beer can," Corden corrected her.

"A beer can!" Kunis shouted. "A beer can!" in defense of her original answer, she told Corden and Applegate, "I'm thinking it's short and stubby or long and thin. But no, [it's] like a Guinness."

Or, as Corden put it, "Like a can of Monster."

When it was Kunis' turn to ask a question, she gave Applegate the option of drinking pickle juice. "Be honest: What about me annoys you the most?" she asked. She gently reminded her co-star to choose her words carefully, saying, "Christina, we have a lot of press to do together."

"You know what annoys me about you the most?" Applegate asked. "Your gorgeous eyes."

"That is bulls--t! That is some bulls--t!" Corden said. "What are you trying to do, sleep with her?" But Applegate defended her answer, telling the host, "It's annoying. She's so beautiful!"

Faced with eating grasshoppers, Corden answered a question about whether he'd ever been in trouble with the police. Then, he turned the tables on Kunis again. With cow tongue on the table, he recalled one of her box office bombs. "Can you explain the plot of the movie that you were in, Jupiter Ascending?" he asked. "As a secondary question, then explain why you did it."

"You know, it's, um...about human desire to...OK!" Kunis said before giving in and taking a bite.

Applegate was given the option of eating soy sauce and mayonnaise or answering a question about her dating past: "Have you ever dated a celebrity that the tabloids didn't know about?" The question didn't faze Applegate in the least. "No. People think I've dated someone who—it was a celebrity—but I've never dated him," the actress admitted. "But no, I never have. Ha-ha!"

Things got really interesting when Applegate gave Corden the option of eating calf's brain or answering a question on everyone's mind. "Who's been your least favorite carpool?" she asked.

The Late Late Show With James Corden weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on CBS.
