Brooks Ayers is ready to share his side of the story.

One day after the Real Housewives of Orange County concluded its dramatic three-part reunion, E! News sat down exclusively with Vicki Gunvalson's ex-boyfriend to provide new insight and clarifications into the shocking season.

On Sunday's episode, fans were shocked to hear Gunvalson express her doubts about her former flame's cancer battle. "My gut says he doesn't have it," she told Andy Cohen.

But according to Ayers, the Bravo star has not and doesn't feel duped in any way. In fact, Gunvalson believes today that he does have cancer.

"She said no, she didn't feel like she's been duped and secondly, she does now believe that I have cancer," he shared with E! News' Melanie Bromley after texting Gunvalson Monday morning.

As to why she changed her mind since the reunion aired, Ayers isn't so sure.

"You have to ask her. I don't know why," he explained. "I don't know why somebody would change their mind as many times as she does."

In part one of our exclusive interview airing tonight on E! News, Ayers will also defend himself after allegations were made from the ladies during the reunion about how he treated Gunvalson. In addition, he clarifies his recent comments where he told viewers he went from stage 3 to stage 2 cancer.

"I was trying to communicate that my numbers were improving, as a lay person, trying to communicate and I'm not a physician," he explained.  "It doesn't decline in stage so  I totally misspoke about that."
