Nick Jonas is proving once again that he's a die-hard Lovatic!

Just days before debuting his new single "Levels," the former Jonas Brothers member kicked off the weekend by performing at Time Warner Cable and Lifebeat's MTV Video Music Awards concert in Los Angeles.

Showing off his biceps in a tight black T-shirt with dark jeans, Jonas got the crowd pumped with renditions of "Chains," "Jealous" and other hits from his self-titled album.

Once Demi Lovato took to the stage, however, Jonas just had to stick around and sing some of her songs backstage. The results are pretty priceless.

In video first captured on brother Joe Jonas' Snapchat, Nick can't help but sing loud and proud to his friend's version of "Let It Go" from the Frozen soundtrack. We can only imagine how things got when "Cool for the Summer" or "Heart Attack" came on later on in the evening.

While Lovato was more than willing to perform her biggest hits at the Avalon in Hollywood, the songwriter also decided to switch things up with a cover of Aretha Franklin's "Ain't No Way."

"I wanted to sing a song I sang when growing up," she told the audience moments before revealing her song choice. "I know every word but I might forget it because that's what I do. I get nervous because I want to do it some kind of justice."

So did she nail the performance? Watch for yourself above and find out!
