Sesame Street has added yet another guest star to its collection! Actress Claire Danes appeared on the show to teach viewers the word of the day.
The three-minute video starts with Claire and Cookie Monster. The Homeland actor opens by telling viewers they will be learning a new word. Cookie Monster, naturally, assumes the word will be his favorite word: cookie!
Danes responds to the animated character by saying, "No, Cookie Monster, we're not here to talk about cookies, but we are here to tell everyone the word of the day."
Cookie Monster assumes she means another cookie-related word, like biscuit or wafer. To his despair, though, the new word is "diagram."
"A diagram is a picture that shows the parts of something and how they go together," Danes explains.
Danes then produces a diagram of a car. Cookie Monster asks her if there are cookies in the trunk. Finally, to satisfy the hilarious kiddie character, the star then pulls out a diagram of a cookie. That pleases the Sesame Street character.
This isn't the only toddler-related thing that Danes has been busy with. The celebrity's son Cyrus is now in his terrible twos, and he's giving Danes a run for her money.
In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar U.K., the 35-year-old actress said, ""Being a mum is incredibly challenging, but we still feel a pressure to talk about it in very romantic terms. And it's not just that."
The gorgeous mother also said her boy is beginning to learn new things like how to say "no" and "more." Well, at least Danes will be ready to teach him some new words after her role on Sesame Street. Hopefully little Cyrus won't have as big of a sweet tooth as her animated co-star does, though!
