There's no sibling rivalry between Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson!
In fact, the fashion mogul, 34, couldn't have chosen a more stunning photo of her her younger sister to post on her 30th birthday Friday.
In the ethereal wedding-esque picture of a picture, Ashlee looks flawless in a lacy dress with her hair in braids. Jess writes sweetly, "Happy Birthday Ashlee! There is no one I believe in more than you. Thank you for inspiring me everyday. I love you!!! #dirty30."
Ashlee and Jessica both have a lot to celebrate these days! Ash said "I do" to love Evan Ross in August, and Jess married Eric Johnson in July. Both ladies served as bridesmaids in each other's weddings—and, not surprisingly, both brides picked pretty dresses for each other, too.
But while the sisters are indisputably close now (as are their kids!), there was a little bit of sibling rivalry coming from Ashlee's side back in the day. In 2004, the younger sibling released her debut album Autobiography with a song called "Shadow" reflecting on some unhappiness in her childhood and what it was like "living in the shadow of someone else's dream."
At the time, she gave an interview to the New York Times, explaining, "I was dealing with my inner demons, and my inner voices in my head."
"It wasn't necessarily my parents being bad parents," she clarified. "It was just things that I battled with in my head. Feeling second best, or feeling that they didn't love me. But the song's saying: 'Guys, I apologize, if I ever put you guys through hell. I love you, and love my life, and thank you for letting me be myself, even though I messed up at times.'"
"They all bawl whenever they listen to it—my sister, my parents, everybody," she said.
