Is Justin Theroux as tough as he looks?

The Leftovers actor stopped by ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday, where he joked about his alleged "bad boy" reputation. Host Jimmy Kimmel began the segment by making fun of his friend's Details cover, joking, "Did you agree to be in the magazine or did they capture you and make you a part of it?"

Theroux had a good laugh, too, saying, "I think I just finished crying."

Kimmel then brought up Theroux's "bad boy" image, saying, "I know you...You don't do drugs...You're a good boy." Jennifer Aniston's fiancé said he "would like to think" he's a good boy—as would his mother.

"You don't have any skeletons in your closet?" Kimmel asked.

"I've got some skeletons," Theroux teased. "I think you can't really come into Hollywood without a couple of mug shots under your belt." The screenwriter also joked that he's been arrested "many times."

"You think you know me, Jimmy, but you don't me," Theroux said. He then challenged Kimmel to Google his "many" mug shots. "Everything's on the internet," the actor explained. "None of us can escape it."

As Kimmel typed Theroux's name, frequent searches began to auto-populate. His first name yielded results like "justin bieber," "justin timberlake" and "justin bieber touching selena gomez private part." When "Theroux" was keyed in, Aniston's name, as well as keywords like "tattoos" and "shirtless," appeared on the screen. Those search terms later disappeared in lieu of phrases like "justin theroux gay," "justin theroux gay homosexual affair" and "justin theroux gay autoerotic asphyxiation."

Theroux and Kimmel then reviewed seven "mug shots"—plus two bonus pictures—from Google.

The first photo showed Theroux in an orange jumpsuit. "In 2011, I was in Pompano Beach," the Your Highness star joked. "I was arrested for fishing without a license, which they take very seriously." The next picture showed Theroux holding a rooster. "This was a bad one," he said. "These were trumped up charges, by the way. Cock fighting. The bird had nothing to do with the arrest." Other offenses included "public urination" and "ivory poaching." There was even a nod to Nick Nolte's infamous 2002 mug shot.

"All right, you are a bad boy," Kimmel conceded after the silly segment.

Later in the interview, Theroux revealed he once worked at "the actual circus."

"This is not a bit," he said. "I actually did."

"I made snow cones," the Tropic Thunder screenwriter said. "Not only did I work for Ringling Bros., I worked for Ringling Bros. in Tokyo, Japan. I went there to make some money for college for a summer job or whatever. It makes no sense. It's a great career move, by the way." How did he get the job? "I went to Japan with a friend of mine who was Japanese and was going to live there a summer, hopefully find some work, and the circus was in town," he said. "You know how this story ends! I ended up getting a job with the circus as sort of an assistant managerial position selling snow cones. I was good!"

Now does that sound like a "bad boy" to you?
