Iggy Azalea Breaks Silence on Apparent Nicki Minaj Diss at BET Awards: "I'm Unbothered by Anything That 'Happened'"

Minaj said later that, as always, the media put words in my mouth" after she seemed to be making fun of Azalea's "Fancy" primping

Iggy Azalea is moving on via the high road.

After giving the thinly veiled jab that Nicki Minaj seemingly took at her during Sunday's BET Awards a few days to fade into the background, the Australian hip-hop star came back with a pointed response—albeit one that did not mention Minaj by name—that indicated she was eager to not have it be an issue for one more day.

"This is my mind state about everything & the only time I'm ever going to refer to this again so go nuts guys, Enjoy it," Azalea captioned her longer statement, which she posted to Instagram.

"Ps. If you squint exxxtra hard you can see tiny elves having illuminati meetings between the lines in my notes app too."

Upon accepting her award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Minaj seemed to many who watched (and later blew up Twitter) to be calling out Azalea when she said, while miming Azalea's "Fancy" video primping: "What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it."

 "No, no, no shade. No, no, no shade," she quickly added.

Azalea, meanwhile, calls the uproar over what went down (or didn't, as Minaj later claimed that the media put words in her mouth) "lame."

"I have to say the general explosion of pettiness online in the last few days is hard to ignore & honestly...lame," the 24-year-old rapper's Instagram statement began.

"If I had won the BET award that would've been great but it wasn't my year & I don't mind - so you shouldn't either. Generally speaking I'm unbothered by anything that 'happened' at the BET awards and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time. 

"Anyone who wishes me well," Azalea continued, "is welcome in my life & those who don't can't get any more of my time. I hate to see everyone exhausting themselves on my behalf over things that I'm still not 100% sure even exist & don't matter. just let it go."

Speaking of whether it exists or not, Minaj tweeted this morning, "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us! I believe we're smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I've been saying this for 5 YEARS."
