Kirstie Alley says she's lost 20 pounds thanks to Jenny Craig, which re-hired her as a celebrity spokesmodel earlier this year, and included a cute analogy and photo in her announcement.

The 63-year-old 5'8" Cheers alum and star of the new TV Land series Kirstie, who has poked fun at her weight loss battles on her TV shows, cited the figure as her weight loss goal in an ad for the diet company. She later upped the figure to 30.

"I'm down 20 lbs*!!! That's like losing 3 lemurs! Thanks @JennyCraig!! *typical loss 1-2 lbs a week" Alley tweeted on Tuesday, June 24, alongside a photo of three of the raccoon-like animals inside a cage.

"On my way to my 30 lb weight loss...join me!!!! FEELS GOOD!!!" she added.

The actress has raised lemurs as pets for more than 30 years and featured them on her 2010 A&E reality show Kirstie Alley's Big Life. The ring-tailed primates, who are endangered species and who were famously featured in the hit 2005 animated movie Madagascar (and seen as steaks by Alex the lion), typically reach a maximum weight of 7.5 pounds each, according to National Geographic.

Alley's weight has fluctuated many times over the years. Check out a timeline of her struggles:

2004: The actress is announced as a Jenny Craig spokesmodel, months before the debut of her Showtime series Fat Actress.

2006: After losing 75 pounds with the diet program and weighing a reported 145 pounds, Alley famously flaunts a slimmer body in a bikini on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

2007: Alley and Jenny Craig part ways.

2009: Alley reportedly tips the scale at 230 pounds.

2010: Alley launches her own diet plan, Organic Liaison. In October, she tweets that she lost 50 pounds.

2011: Alley reveals she lost 100 pounds after competing on Dancing With the Stars, in which she places second with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy (see photo, above).

April 2014: Jenny Craig announces Alley has returned as a spokesmodel. She says in a video ad that she is "not, like, circus fat" and wants to lose 20 pounds. In an interview on The Rachael Ray Show that month, she defends her use of the former term and says she had gained 30 pounds. The company said in a statement that it had acquired Alley's Organic Liaison line and will be integrating "key products" in its program. Alley revealed in its video ad that one of the items is the "Rescue Me" USDA-certified organic weight loss elixir.
