When Andrew Garfield hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time, his on and off-screen love Emma Stone was there to support (and give him a really awkward kiss).

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars brought on the funny last night during a sketch called "Spider-Man Kiss," in which they filmed a "climatic final scene" where Spider Man takes Gwen Stacy to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge for the ultimate onscreen smooch. The problem is they just can't get it right.

"How do normal people kiss?," Garfield asked Stone. "I don't know just try something," Stone replies. As they try to get their lip lock right, The pair smashes their cheeks together, sticks their tongues out, tries to kiss each other with open mouths, and Garfield picks up Stone up and makes out with her chin, among other things.

To really nail the scene, Garfield ends up kissing Chris Martin instead, who randomly appears, puts on a wig, dips Andrew over and leans in for a kiss.

Martin went on to perform "Magic" and "A Sky Full of Stars" with Coldplay.

Meanwhile, Stone also popped up during Garfield's monologue, walking on stage to give him some last minute advice in the middle of it.

"I got some advice from my Spider Man costar Emma Stone, she's the greatest, and she's hosted before," Garfield said. "She told me Andrew you are one of the funniest people I know, you're gonna be great, but this is different."

"Don't mind me. I'm not even here, I just wanted to say you're doing so great," Stone said as she walked onto the stage. "I actually thought of one more piece of advice for you, if you get into trouble at all, just remember the band that the band on SNL is really great and will laugh at anything. Right guys?"

But, just when it looked like she was gone, Stone kept popping up to give more…and more…and more…advice.

"I feel like you should be more self deprecating," she said, among other things.

While Garfield and Stone usually stay mum on their offscreen relationship, The 25-year-old fashionista recently opened up about her feelings for her boyfriend, saying, "It's like a dream to work with him," Stone said about Garfield. "He's obviously one of the greatest actors I think we have alive today, and he's also just a remarkable human being, so I love him very much."

So sweet!
