The Internet certainly thought so after the 31-year-old beauty was spotted noshing on vegan fare at Crossroads restaurant in Los Angeles with a good-looking mystery man on Thursday.
The two were seen looking relaxed and comfortable together as they strolled down Melrose Avenue, with Mara wearing a trendy denim and leather jacket, studded loafers, and a striped T-shirt, which she paired with a gray Balenciaga handbag.
So does this mean the House of Cards hottie has broken up with beau Max Minghella, whom she's been dating since 2010?
Nope!
E! News has learned that the man in question is Mara's cousin John Mara Jr., who is an aspiring Broadway producer.
The two even joked about the tabloid tales on Twitter today after stories began surfacing which alleged that the two were dating.
"I'm such a mystery man with @_KateMara #incest," Mara Jr. wrote, while Kate retweeted his tweet and posted, "It's cool to date my cousin, right?"
So...safe to say Mara and Minghella are still an item.
Mara also shared a Twitter lovefest with Olivia Wilde on Thursday after the pregnant celeb was mistaken for the Iron Man 2 star, which she found to be quite the compliment.
"Hey @_KateMara- I just got recognized as you. It took every ounce of restraint not to say 'damn straight!' and just bask in your glory," Wilde tweeted on Thursday.
To which Mara replied: "Hey @oliviawilde That makes me WILDEly happy. I'd like to be recognized as you.. any day. Food baby and all."
Too cute.
