Jessica Alba is an advocate for showing affection.

The Honest Company co-founder models an Amanda Uprichard dress on the April 2014 issue of Redbook. In the magazine's profile, the actress and eco-friendly businesswoman, 32, opens up about life with hubby Cash Warren, 35, and their adorable daughters Honor, 5, and Haven, 2.

When Alba learns that some parents don't kiss their children on the lips, she seems taken aback. "Really? Why?!" the movie star asks. "It's your baby. People allow dogs to lick at their mouths."

Luckily, if the star of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For ever has any questions about parenting, she can turn to her Mommy and Me group for advice. "They're some of my closest girlfriends," Alba tells the mag.

Of course, being Alba's friend isn't always easy. "It's weird when we're doing normal mom things and there's paparazzi around," she explains. "That's the only thing that makes everyone uncomfortable."

Paparazzi aside, Alba insists she leads a relatively normal life. "I bought my hot pink desk off Craigslist. I have a problem," she admits. "I love vintage furniture, and refurbishing is one of the most eco things you can do. I also got a couple of cool chairs and Danish mid-century credenzas off of Craigslist."

Searching for Craigslist deals isn't Albas only vice, though. According to Alba's husband, she's just as obsessed with social media. "All he watches is sports. Fantasy football is so annoying—there's always a game on," she says of the sock designer. "Though he says I'm addicted to Instagram, so it goes both ways!"
