Move over Modern Family's gay kiss.

We think it's time a certain girl-on-girl smooch happens already...

Kerry Washington tells us that she and Kristin Chenoweth have every intention of making that movie about Dusty Springfield. Chenoweth has been developing the flick for quite some time with plans for her to star as the late lesbian pop soul singer and Washington to play her lover.

"We're still working on it, we're still working on it," Washington says. "She so busy right now with Promises, Promises [on Broadway]...But we'll get it done.

"Trust me," she added, "We want to make out with each other as much as people want us to make out with each other."

Chenoweth first told me she wanted Washington back in 2009. "I want Kerry Washington to play my girlfriend," she said. "Dusty had a relationship with an African-American woman and she was supposedly very attractive. Kerry is a great actress and I think we'd be amazing together."

Chenoweth is not only busy with Promises, but she and Ryan Murphy are developing a television series for her, too. Tomorrow, she'll be honored in Washington, D.C., at the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute at its annual Angels in Adoption Gala.
